Microsoft and Google Fight Over Verizon

Posted by Kallan Dahn Saturday, November 8, 2008

Google has been trying to become the major search provider for phones carried by Verizon Wireless. Microsoft had decided to take action by attempting to block the major search provider, and edge them out of the deal with an offer of their own. According to reports Microsoft's offer to Verizon is much more lucrative for the phone company. The CEO of Verizon appeared last night on the financial television show Mad Money, and was asked what they are considering, to which he responded to the effect of We are closely weighing our options, and will ultimatly choose what platform provides the best long term results for our company and shareholders, while taking into account the best overall value for our customers.
