Google Maps newest version 4.5.1 for Android now adds the current weather conditions to the home screen when its used as the live wallpaper. The live wallpaper seems to run buggy from my experience massively slowed down my DROID to the point that it was almost unusable. I suggest waiting until the next upgrade to Motorola DROID owners. Android devices with a 1 Ghz processor should support the update with fewer if any issues.
