Part of a settlement for a class action lawsuit At&t will provide unlock codes for their device. The customer must have been an active subscriber for 90 days, and be able to provide proof of purchase for the device. There are two exceptions to this; devices that At&t will have exclusively for longer than 10 months will not be unlocked at all. Devices with an exclusivity period of less than 10 months will have to wait for the 10 month period to expire before AT&T will provide the unlock code.
