Verizon Responds to At&t Lawsuit

Posted by Kallan Dahn Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Verizon has finally responded to At&t's lawsuit.  In the response Verizon filed a 53 page document with federal courts in Georgia.  The filing reveals that Verizon feels pulling the ads from public view would cause greater harm to the public that it would to At&t.  "At&t did not file this lawsuit because Verizon's "There's A Map For That" advertisements ar untrue; At&t sude because Verizon's ads are true and the truth hurts", Verizon outlined in the document.  The document went on further to say that At&t is at fault for not investing in the proper infrastructure for the growth in data that was caused by the iPhone on their network.  As a result the usefulness to smart phone users has suffered.
"At&t may not like the message that the ads send, but this court should reject its efforts to silence the messenger."
