Sprint's New Strategy

Sprint is currently looking forward to many new devices this year. We can expect to see many devices with Android, and there is speculation that after the Android operating system gains traction in the market place, the price will begin to come down. The Hero is expected to get an Android update very soon, so keep an eye out for that. The Blackberry Tour is going to get Wifi, and Sprint will also begin to sell other Wifi enabled Blackberry devices. We can also expect to see an Android based device that will offer MIFI like abilities in the near future. This couldn't come at a better time as Sprint is going to eliminate the option to tether a handset to laptops for internet connections. Windows Mobile 6.5 is in testing for upgrades to their current Windows mobile 6.1 devices, and Sprint has hopes to release Windows Mobile 7 based devices as soon as they start to become available.
