Cricket Chirps About No Contract Aircards

Posted by Kallan Dahn Friday, September 12, 2008

Cricket has announced that they will begin to offer wireless broadband access to its customers. Just like Cricket's voice products, the plan will be available without a credit check or a contract. The service will be available for $40 per month. This makes Cricket the only carrier to offer broadband service without a contract. The company has also announced that there are only 2 usage restrictions.... No Servers, and absolutely no VOIP. The company will not implement a data cap on the usage, and is encouraging their customer to use this as a primary Internet connection from their home. Customer will be required to purchase a broadband card. The PCMCIA card is available free after mail in rebate, while the USB option is $59.99 after mail in rebate. The service is intended to Windows based machines running either Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
