iPhone Breaches Trust... Probably Not

Posted by Kallan Dahn Friday, August 8, 2008

Recently there have been reports of Apple breaking the trust of their customers, by installing a URL that "shuts off unwanted programs". These reports it seems, were released too early. The mysterious URL and blacklist that it leads to is nothing more than protection for your devices core location. The blacklist restricts what programs have access to this location. Unauthorized tampering with the core location in your iPhone most likely will cause unwanted results, and I am sure the possibility of "brickage". This new addition can be found in the newest firmware update for the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
