QUICK: Verizon Shrinks $350 ETF List

Posted by Kallan Dahn Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Verizon has decided to shorten the list of handsets that are required to contract with a $350 Early Termination Fee penalty.  The list, previously provided to the FCC, laid out all the devices they doubled the ETF for a few weeks ago.  The $350 early termination fee is double that of their normal termination fee.  Verizon has been under intense questioning over this move by the FCC.  The Federal Communications Commission has been taking a strong stance on controlling carriers and their termination policies lately.  Verizon is just one company that has been closely looked at since inception of the new FCC chairman the first of the year.
