Samsung: Nanotubes Lead to Epaper

Posted by Kallan Dahn Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Samsung and Unidum have teamed up to create the first carbon nanotube based color active matrix electrophoretic display (EPD). These displays are very visible in direct sunlight, and have extremely low power consumption. This technology can be used for many applications. EPaper being just one of them. Touch Screen, POS Terminals, games, Cell Phone, PDA's, etc. The Carbon nanotube technology is very compact, and can be deployed in areas that other options might not be available.
