In Florida, a new law has been passed making it illegal to have a cell phone in prison. This law will be enforced stricly by an unlikely suspect. A K9 has been trained to sniff out cellular phones! Inmates found in posession of a cell phone up till now just lost privlidges for this, but now they will face an additional 5 years on to their sentance, and up to $5,000 in fines. Florida is not the only state to use a cell phone dog, they have also been used in Virginia. Cell phone dogs so far have turned up 23 cell phones. That is 23 would be escape attempts that have been avoided.
