The Xperia X1 is not being produced as fast as Sony Ericcson would like. The handset manufacturer is blaming "lack of certain materials" for the delay. Ericcson would not elaborate on this issue further other than to state that they expect production to increase and begin shipping additional handsets. Switzerland will be first to have their deliveries extended, with deliveries expected to start in the next couple days. Germany and the UK will have to wait a couple more weeks. The Xperia X1 is still on track to be released in the United States in November.
