Leap Wireless announced that Cricket will be expanding their coverage into more markets via roaming agreements it has signed with 14 cellular carriers. Cricket service will now be available in Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco, Calif.; Jacksonville, Miami and Orlando, Fla.; Atlanta, Ga.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Detroit, Mich.; Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; and Green Bay, Wis. The expanded coverage area is available for $5 extra a month for any customer residing on a $50 or $60 per month rate place. Cricket will also make the purchase of buckets of roaming minutes still available. Currently these agreements do not extend coverage for Crickets broadband wireless products, and only voice minutes are included.
