Cox communications has announced that they intend to build their own cellular network by 2009. The countries largest cable provider already has licences for Atlanta, New Orleans, Omaha, Nebraska, Las Vegas, Navada, a good portion of Kansas and New Mexico. Cox intends to team up with Sprint to provide coverage outside those areas. The business model that Cox will use has yet to be relased, as well as what handsets will be made available. Cox will release the phone under their own brand.
