At&t looks like they will certainly not be the first company to play with LTE here in the United States. They seem confident that they can tweak their HSPA network to increase speeds gradually instead of doing a large scale build out immediately. At&t's VP of Architecture, Hank Kafka is expecting LTE to be 2 to 3 years out, and 5 years would not surprise him.
