Sprint Seeks Phased Extention

Sprint has applied to the FCC for an extension on the deadline set to relinquish existing 800 mhz frequency. The frequency is supposed to be swapped with Public Service agencies to help eliminate interference in this band. Public service agencies have already been granted an extension. Sprint is proposing that the swap be done in phases, to minimize disruption to their subscribers as the change occurs.
