3D Cell Phone Camera

Sharp has just announced a new evolution in the mobile experience. We have been bombarded with the questions about 3D televisions, but now sharp introduces this guy; the 3D camera for mobile devices.
The 3D camera is capable of capturing a 720p resolution via smartphones, and other mobile devices.
The new optics is a combination of two lenses offset by a specific distance and placed into sync with each other overlaying on the same image. The units will begin production sometime this year, and begin sampling in July.

LG and Sharp Get It For LCD Price fixing

LCD Price fixing has been suspected for some time now. LG and Sharp both plead guilty in a Department of Justice investigation. LG was ordered to pay $400 Million. LG was convicted of price fixing from 2001 to 2006. Sharp was ordered to pay $120 Million. During this time prices were jacked up on LCD's that were sold to Dell, Motorola, and Apple.

Symbian Foundation Grows in Strength

Sharp, Opera Software, UIQ, and South Korean KTF have joined the Sybian Foundation. The companies will donate resources to help the ultimate goal of an open source operating system.
